Sonogram

My doctor scheduled a sonogram for me this morning. She wanted to have the baby's measurements checked because Peanut just felt small. Well, no wonder because we have a little contortionist on our hands.

The sonographer got a picture of the sweet little face. It has its Mommy's chubby cheeks.

Notice the fists up near the face. Then, we saw a foot just below the fists. What's that doing up there? Yes, Peanut is bent in half, sitting on my bladder. How can that be a comfortable position to be in? Maybe we've got a future Olympic gymnast.

And it has its Mommy's long, narrow feet.

Everything is on schedule. 34 weeks and 6 days today. Current estimated weight is 5 lbs 7 oz.

34 Weeks

Weight Gain: 0 lbs (Total: 16 lbs)
Belly Measurement: 32 cm
Blood Pressure: Normal
Baby Heartbeat: 144

My doctor said I'm doing great. She ordered a sonogram for tomorrow morning to check the baby's position and measurements. I'm looking forward to seeing Peanut on the big screen again. I should have a new picture to post too. :)

I've been feeling more tired and more uncomfortable, mainly from the pressure on my bladder and the lower part of my uterus. Peanut seems to get the hiccups just about every day. I take it as a good sign that its systems are all functioning.

We're still working on the nursery, well Mat is doing more of the work. Thanks honey! I'll post pics as soon as possible.

32 Weeks

My 32 week appointment was on Wednesday. Belly is measuring at 31cm...on schedule. Total weight gain is now 16 lbs. It is all coming on here at the end. I sure am feeling it these days. Peanut tends to be a low rider so I've taken to the maternity belt to help hold him/her up.

When the doctor checked the position, Peanut seemed to be breech but she said that it was still small enough to be able to get into the proper position. I believe her because Peanut is moving around A LOT. Seems to have discovered how to do somersaults and cartwheels. Most of the time it is during the day so I'm not too sleep deprived yet.

Baby Shower

On Sunday, we were given a baby shower by our church family. Peanut got lots of great stuff. We were overwhelmed by everyone's generosity and their love for us. We can't wait for Peanut to meet all of our wonderful friends.

My dear friend Heather opened her home for the festivities. The hostesses put out a great spread of yummy treats that perfectly matched the theme of the nursery. It was all so perfect!

Sweet hostesses: Darla, Nikki, Heather, Jill, Juliann, Jennifer, Cindy

Gran, Aunt Linda, cousin Courtney, Aunt Whitney and my best friend Kendra also attended the shower. It meant so much to have some of my family there.

Kendra, Whitney, Mom, me, Courtney, Linda

Thank you to everyone for coming to the shower and for your love and support. We love you very much!
